Governor Ayotte toured EPTAC’s new 14,000-square-foot Salem training facility and discussed employer-driven manufacturing workforce training.
SALEM, NH, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — EPTAC, a global leader in electronics manufacturing training and The Global Electronics Association’s IPC certification, welcomed New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte to its Salem headquarters for a facility tour and discussion on strengthening the state’s manufacturing workforce through employer-driven training.
Governor Ayotte was greeted by EPTAC President and CEO Burak Gokmen and Operations Director Brenda Clunie, along with other members of the company’s management team.
The Governor toured EPTAC’s state-of-the-art 14,000-square-foot training facility, which opened in April, and saw firsthand how specialized, hands-on instruction prepares people for technical roles in manufacturing. EPTAC delivers that instruction from 24 locations across North America and online, in areas including soldering and assembly, inspection, cable and wire harness assembly, rework and repair, and PCB design.
“Manufacturers need people who can step into highly technical environments with the right skills, and that requires training that stays closely connected to those needs,” said Burak Gokmen, president and CEO of EPTAC. “We were glad to host Governor Ayotte and show her that process firsthand. New Hampshire has a strong manufacturing community, and there is a real opportunity for training providers, employers, community colleges and state workforce programs to work more closely together.”
There are 28 people for every 100 electronics jobs in New Hampshire, and more companies move across the border into the state every year. SynQor and Analogic both did so recently. That growth makes the need for trained talent more pressing, and it is not only a New Hampshire challenge but a nationwide one.
