Effective today, T5 Construction becomes EverOn Data Center Services (EverOn DCS), an independent data center construction company dedicated exclusively to delivering mission-critical digital infrastructure. At the same time, T5 Operations enters a definitive agreement to join Salute, bringing together two industry-leading operations organizations to expand global capabilities, strengthening operational performance and helping customers maximize uptime across their mission-critical facilities.

Together, these strategic moves position both organizations to accelerate growth, deepen specialized expertise and better serve customers across the data center lifecycle.

For customers, today’s announcement represents an evolution—not a disruption. While the organizations are evolving, the people, expertise and commitment to execution that customers have relied on for years remain the same.

Building the Future of Digital Infrastructure

EverOn DCS represents the natural evolution of a construction business that has grown from $87 million in revenue in 2021 to $1.7 billion in 2025, 83% of that revenue due to third-party construction projects. Originally established within T5 Data Centers, the business now serves a diverse portfolio of hyperscale, developer, enterprise, and AI customers across North America. Establishing EverOn as an independent company provides the dedicated focus, agility, and scale needed to support this rapidly growing third-party customer base and meet the industry’s next generation of demand.

Purpose-built exclusively for data center construction, EverOn DCS combines nearly two decades of mission-critical experience with a heritage of ownership and an operational perspective that influences every construction decision. By understanding how today’s construction choices affect tomorrow’s commissioning, maintainability, reliability and long-term asset performance, EverOn helps customers reduce execution risk, accelerate operational readiness and bring critical capacity online with greater confidence.

Today, EverOn’s team represents more than 260 completed construction projects and more than 12 million square feet of delivered data center space across the United States. As a nationally licensed general contractor, the company delivers ground-up campuses, data hall fit-outs, retrofits and upgrades, design-build delivery, LLE equipment procurement, commissioning oversight, QA/QC, owner advisement and preconstruction services. EverOn also brings proven expertise supporting direct liquid cooling, high-density AI infrastructure and complex construction within live, energized mission-critical environments.

“Today’s announcement is about positioning our business and our customers for the future,” said Tom Mertz, formerly Chief Operating Officer & President, T5 Services and now President and CEO of EverOn Data Center Services. “Our growth to $1.7 billion in revenue, with 83% generated from third-party customers, reflects the strength of our team and the confidence leading developers and hyperscalers place in us. While our name is changing, what customers rely on is not. EverOn gives us the opportunity to focus entirely on helping customers build increasingly complex digital infrastructure while creating the flexibility to grow alongside the industry we serve.”

Strengthening Mission-Critical Operations

As part of today’s announcement, Salute, a global leader in integrated data center lifecycle services leading the AI data center evolution, has announced a deal to acquire T5 Operations, creating additional opportunities for employees while providing customers access to broader technical resources, expanded geographic reach and continued investment in operational excellence.

EverOn and Salute will continue working together as strategic partners where customers benefit from seamless collaboration between construction and operations, ensuring facilities are built with long-term performance, faster time to market and operational readiness in mind.

“This is a strategic evolution that strengthens both businesses,” said Pete Marin, CEO and Chairman of T5 Data Centers. “Our construction business has grown significantly beyond its original mandate, earning the trust of third-party developers and hyperscalers, and establishing EverOn gives that organization the independence and focus to continue scaling. At the same time, bringing our T5 Operations team together with Salute creates an even stronger platform dedicated to helping customers maximize uptime and operational excellence. We’re incredibly proud of what both teams have built and excited about what comes next.”

Lazard served as exclusive financial advisor and King & Spalding LLP served as legal counsel to T5 Services. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal counsel to Salute.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is EverOn Data Center Services, and why is it launching now?

EverOn Data Center Services is an independent digital infrastructure construction company with a deep focus on the growing data center industry. Unlike multi-vertical general contractors, EverOn only builds critical digital infrastructure, backed by nearly 20 years of experience in this sector. EverOn directly responds to accelerating demand for high-performance infrastructure driven by AI and cloud growth. Establishing EverOn as a distinct entity gives the company’s construction offering greater focus, accountability and capacity.

Q: What changes for existing construction customers?

Nothing changes about your project, contracts, project team or day-to-day relationship with us. Existing commitments remain unchanged. The same leadership, field teams, safety culture and delivery processes continue under the EverOn name.

Q: How does EverOn support AI and cloud infrastructure demand, and what does this mean for existing customers?

EverOn is built for the complexity that AI and cloud workloads demand. High-density environments, direct liquid cooling and accelerated schedules require specialized expertise, not generic construction.

As hyperscale, enterprise and institutional customers scale AI-driven deployments, they need a construction partner experienced in executing in live, critical digital environments without disrupting an operational facility. This new entity’s standardized, repeatable delivery model reduces handoff risk, increases efficiencies and prepares every facility to perform from day one.

Q: How does EverOn DCS relate to T5 Data Centers?

EverOn Data Center Services is a former division of T5 Data Centers, now established as an independent company. EverOn draws on its vast experience while giving customers an independent pure-play partner focused solely on the construction process and outcomes.

As a fully independent company, EverOn operates with its own leadership, mandate and growth trajectory. This independence gives the new entity the autonomy to scale construction, expand geographically and pursue strategic acquisitions and partnerships. All existing projects, contracts and customer relationships remain fully intact under the new structure.

Q: Why is T5 Operations joining Salute, and what does this mean for EverOn?

The combination creates a stronger global platform dedicated exclusively to mission-critical operations. By joining Salute, the T5 Operations team gains expanded resources, broader geographic reach, and complementary technical expertise, strengthening operational performance and helping customers maximize uptime. EverOn and Salute will have a strategic relationship, giving customers the benefit of collaboration between construction and operations expertise when appropriate. While each organization will operate independently, both share a commitment to helping customers achieve long-term operational success.
