Sign In App Integrates with Paxton’s Net2 to Unify Access Control and Real-Time On-Site Visibility

New integration connects physical access control with real-time presence data, giving workplaces and schools a more accurate view of who is on-site without adding another step to arrival
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sign In App, The Access Intelligence Platform™, today announced a new two-way integration with Paxton’s Net2 system, that removes one of the last manual steps in workplace and school arrivals: badging through a door and then signing in separately at a kiosk. Now, a single tap opens the door and automatically creates a real-time sign-in record through Sign In App, eliminating gaps between who has entered the building and who is recorded as being on-site. The integration is another step forward for Sign In App’s Access Intelligence Platform, connecting physical access with the context organizations need to understand not just who can enter, but who is actually on-site.
Organizations across industries rely heavily on Paxton access control systems, with staff already using a card or a fob to gain building entry. By connecting that existing access-control infrastructure with Sign In App, employers, schools and other organizations can maintain more accurate presence data to support emergency preparedness, evacuation lists, and statutory workflows, such as Single Central Record compliance in the education sector, without requiring staff to complete a separate sign-in step or organizations to replace existing cards or readers.
The integration also streamlines visitor access. Organizations can provision and manage Net2 visitor credentials through Sign In App as part of the sign-in process, reducing the need to manage visitor access separately across multiple systems.
“Access control has historically answered one question: Can this person get through the door?” said Chris Burton, executive vice president of strategy at Sign In App. “Our Access Intelligence Platform asks bigger questions: Who is this person, why are they here, and what should happen next? Connecting Paxton’s Net2 hardware directly with Sign In App means a simple tap at the door now carries that context into Sign In App automatically, for staff and visitors alike, without organizations replacing a single card or reader.”
“At Paxton, our core focus is delivering smart, reliable access control that simplifies everyday operations,” said Clym Brown Paxton’s Divisional Director – Product Management (Software). “The integration between Sign In App and Net2 allows end users to extract even more value from the hardware they already trust to secure their buildings. The integration gives schools and businesses another effortless way to enhance site security, streamline arrivals, and maintain accurate records without adding operational complexity.”
The integration is available now for existing customers of both Sign In App and Paxton. More information is available at signinapp.com.
