Vitality Trading founder details a covered call income system that helps retirees replace their paycheck
WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI, UNITED STATES, November 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Vitality Trading, the trading education community founded by former Goldman Sachs vice president Robby Hogle, today announced the public release of its Double Dipping Dividend Strategy, a covered call income system built for people nearing or in retirement. Hogle, an options trading coach who has helped more than 200 people build reliable monthly income, walked through the three-step system during a new appearance on The Liquid Lunch Project podcast. He says his members typically generate consistent monthly cash flows that result in 15% to 20% annual cash return, and the strategy only takes about one hour a month.
Hogle started his career on Wall Street in 2008 and watched the Great Recession cut retirement accounts in half. The crisis hit his own family when a family member could no longer make payments on a loan tied to their business property, and Hogle, then 24, lent them $150,000 to pay it off. The business survived and later sold for several million dollars, an experience that drives his mission to help retirees weather the next major recession.
Today, he says, people near retirement feel anxiety about a potential AI bubble, geopolitical tension and they wonder what happens to their retirement income if the market crashes.
“I don’t want to trade a day job for a job as a day trader,” Robby Hogle said during his appearance on The Liquid Lunch Project. “I want to enjoy my life, enjoy my hobbies, spend time with family and friends, and be present when I’m with them.”
The Double Dipping Dividend Strategy starts with dividend aristocrats, companies such as Walmart and Procter & Gamble that have raised their dividends every year for 25 years or more through the dot-com bust, the Great Recession and COVID-19. Hogle buys shares of these steady businesses, then sells a covered call option against them every month. The investor collects the company’s dividend plus the option premium, which is where the “double dipping” name comes from.
Hogle compares the option seller to an insurance company collecting premiums. “As we all know, insurance companies usually are the ones that win,” he said.
Step three is to rinse and repeat by selling a new option roughly every 30 days. Hogle rolls a position forward when he can collect more than 1% of the share value in premium, and lets the shares get called away when a stock has run far past his strike.
Hogle pointed to IBM as a real example of the Double Dipping Dividend Strategy at work. He entered the position last November at $302 per share, sold a slightly in-the-money call at about a $300 strike and collected roughly $800 to $1,000 a month in premium for several months. When IBM later fell about 30%, he continued to generate over 15% annual cash return through the dividends and premiums he collected each month.
“Even when the stock is down 30%, I know I can still turn it into a winner,” Hogle said.
“I have been investing with this strategy for over 5 months and have consistently met my income goals with this strategy. As a retiree, this consistent income stream has given me peace of mind for my financial future,” said Spencer P., a Vitality Trading member.
Hogle is clear that no strategy is risk-free. “There’s no sure thing out there,” the options trading coach said, adding that he refuses to teach riskier tactics such as naked options to people near retirement. Most members run the strategy inside IRA or Roth accounts for the tax advantages.
Before founding Vitality Trading, Hogle was a vice president at Goldman Sachs and later worked across private equity and operating companies, and served as lead coach for an options trading group, writing most of its training materials. He built the Double Dipping Dividend course when members asked for a more conservative way to earn monthly income.
Robby Hogle keeps the Vitality Trading membership small on purpose. Members receive a monthly publication called the Dividend Digest with color-coded trade setups, invites to join live calls every Thursday and the ability to reach Hogle directly on his cell phone.
